Halo 3 Review

The Game play:

Halo 3 game play is of a unique variety in comparison to a lot of other first
Person shooters, for instance there is a big focus in the FPS gaming community based
Around realistic first person shooters such as call of duty, battlefield Vietnam etc. Halo 3 on the other hand
Is like a spin-off of unreal tournament, with its futuristic maps, weapons,
Grenades, you name it but not only that halo 3 also keeps the modern feel of play by keeping Pistols,
Snipers and other modern day guns in the game. Also what adds to an interesting feel of
Game play is the various equipment they have added such as bubble shields, EMP’s,
Health regens and blinding flares to add an even more exciting twist of game play that other games just don’t have.

Bubble shield – Highly effective if you have a shotgun in hand or need a quick cover from enemy fire.
EMP’s – Great for stopping vehicles dead in their track.
Health regens – extremely effective at keeping your shields up.
Flares – Not to keen on this however in the right situation they are highly effective.

Halo 3 – Xbox live:

Without Xbox live halo 3 just would not be the same, online play adds a much higher level of competitive nature
Between players (especially because of the ranking system). The ranking system is very well made so you
Face players around your skill level and to improve how good you are at the game by facing players that are slightly above your skill level.
The best thing about Xbox live on halo 3 is improving your game play, learning the strategies for the maps,
Knowing the best weapons to get and the best places to camp but mainly for drastically increasing your team work which is highly vital in a game such as halo.

Forge Mode:

Forge mode allows you to edit maps in many different ways from changing spawn points for various game types e.g. king of the hill to adding  and removing weapons to any location you like, you can literally edit the map to play out the way you want it to by adding vehicles, weapons, barricades, custom power ups etc.
Forge mode is a great addition to halo 3 that many players will thoroughly enjoy!

Halo 3 map packs:
I would say that all of the halo map packs are a must from the heroic map pack to the mythic map pack.
They are all worthwhile because it gives you access to all game types Xbox live and each new map has its own interesting scenery, weapons and game play.
As you know game play will differ from map to map because you have to work different strategies on different maps.
Another added bonus of having all the map packs is that when bungie make edits to existing maps such as sandbox you can play all the different map variants they crease and also you can create your own map variants and of course the more maps you have the more things you can do in forge mode.
